The sun rose in the west today,
and suddenly love called my name.
I caught a glimpse of butterflies—
resting on the flowers of spring.
Time seems to favor the sun over the moon,
spending its lifetime in daylight.
Birds chirped love’s tune,
as the trees swayed to its melody.
The moon woke from its slumber,
stealing the sun’s light for its stars to shine.
It blew winds of winter,
cradling love and time in its embrace.
